Description
Single edge billhook by Richard Carter. A billhook is most commonly used for hedge laying, but it is also the perfect tool for clearing weeds, cutting back hedges and chopping kindling. This tool has been fitted with a robust 6 inch hickory handle and solid 12 inch blade.
The blade is suitable for sharpening by the user, as required, and may require sharpening before first use (at the users discretion).

I purchased this to clear tall grass, long weeds and brambles in my allotment as per the item description.
It has not let me down – this is a really useful tool and I am very impressed with the build quality (very solid and sharp!). Service from Briants was fantastic too and was delivered swiftly.

Really pleased with the bill hook. It is excellent quality. I am also really happy that it is made in the UK. My question about where it was made was answered very promptly, giving me the reassurance to go ahead and buy it. We are trying to avoid anything made in China. The bill hook needed sharpening, but we had bought the cigar shaped sharpening stone to go with it so that was not a problem. Delivery was also very quick.

Excellent service, swift delivery. The Billhook is awesome, I wish I’d ordered one years ago, slightly regret getting a single sided one. Would highly recommend buying from Briants.

The kind of tool that’ll last a lifetime.
Used it to remove side branches from the main branches taken off an overgrown apple tree (which was probably quicker than nipping each one off with loppers).
And I still have all my fingers, too, which is a bonus.

Good price, good construction. Blade needs sharpened prior to first use. Would be good if Briants sold a case/sheath for this.
