Description
This 1.8-meter slotted end fence post from Jacksons is designed to provide a clean and secure termination for your fence line. It features a nominal planed finish with dimensions of 100mm x 100mm and includes two 54mm x 25mm slots (as described, positioned for ending a panel run) allowing compatible Jacksons fence panels to be easily slotted into place for a professional finish. This post is suitable for constructing fences with a finished height of 1.05 or 1.2 meters.
Treated with the unique Jakcure® process, this timber post is resistant against wood-boring pests and rot for 25 years. As with other Jacksons timber posts, it offers significant advantages over concrete alternatives: it’s lighter, easier to handle and install, environmentally friendlier, immune to frost damage, cracking, or chipping, and provides better support than standard square section posts, contributing to reduced wind damage threat when installed correctly.
For secure installation, Jacksons recommend setting posts at least 0.6m into the ground using concrete. Panels should be screwed to the posts (6 screws per panel, 12 if using capping rails) and gravel boards secured with 4 screws each to maintain the integrity of the fence run.
