The Unilin (formerly Xtratherm) Thin-R XT/CW is a high-performance polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board specifically engineered for partial fill cavity wall applications. This 90mm board features robust tongue and groove (T&G) profiling on all four edges, allowing the boards to interlock tightly. This ensures a continuous layer of insulation that minimizes thermal bridging and offers superior protection against wind-driven rain.
Each board measures 1200mm x 450mm, a standard size designed to fit perfectly between wall ties in standard masonry construction. Faced with low-emissivity foil, it significantly improves the thermal resistance of the residual cavity. With a thermal conductivity of just 0.022 W/mK, it is an excellent choice for meeting modern building regulations without increasing wall thickness excessively.
