STIHL AX30C Cleaving Hammer Axe

Description

Stihl AX30C cleaving hammer is suitable for medium and hard splitting work, cleaving metre long logs and heavy wood as well as felling with a wedge. This Cleaving Hammer from Stihl is a forged hammer head design with reversible tip. It features an extra large striking surface for safer handling when driving in aluminium & plastic wedges.

This traditional design of tool has also been used in manufacture, for example to create hand riven wood products, such as chestnut paling.
